How to Ruin a Great Design (response)
A great design can be ruined in many different ways. The author is not necessarily concerned with a design not working because it is unsafe, does not function properly, or is overly complicated. She is concerned with the aesthetics of the design. Why does a design that has been aesthetically pleasing to the eye since its conception, all of a sudden need an update? In her opinion, there is no need to change a design that has worked for decades, simply to make a change.
