Hypothetical Company (questions/answers)

What does it do?

 My company is a diner that does its baking on the premises.
Audience/ Customers? Are they middle class teenagers? Upperclass elderly?

 My company is open to all ages. Customers come to relax and dine. The bakery will offer an array of cakes for any celebration.
You are the CEO? You are in charge of this company.

Yes.

What kind of company image do you wish to create? How do you want it to be viewed by the public?

 Very family friendly, opened to all.
What do you sell? How do you hope to make money?

 All kinds of food, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course dessert.
Are you an investment firm? a soda company? A publishing company? A Construction Company? What are the different needs of these companies how do they need to best be addressed?

 I am a food company.
What will you ask your designer to create for you? Why?

 Something welcoming that makes people want to eat.
Do you need a mascot? A color scheme? How do you develop customer recognition?

 No mascot is needed, but our colors would be vintage, using white, pink, yellow, red, and purple.
Write a mission statement or business plan

 My mission statement would be, "Good eats for cheap!"
Who is your competition? How do you get customers to focus on your business.

Any nearby restaurants. Customers will focus more on my business because of my extensive menu.

Movie Poster Prompt

My personal favorite movie poster is the cover of Adventures in Babysitting. The reason why I adore this poster is mainly because of the color and how it pops. It really grabs your attention where you cannot stop staring at it. The style of it is almost cartoonish which gives it character and you can tell this was made in the 90s, so you know it's good. The different facial expressions of each character gives you an idea of their personalities. Just seeing them on the side of a building makes you wonder just how crazy of an adventure they must have had to end up there. The font for the title was a really good choice, big and bold, just like the movie. The last thing I want to mention is the main character's scarf. There's something about it that captures my eye. I like how it's a rainbow, it works well with the coloring of this poster. I also love how it flows in the wind, it just looks so badass to me.

Everyone is Altered (response)

After reading this article, I realized that I never thought about why actors and actresses look so good in a movie. I think, "Wow, they really look beautiful or handsome." Then again, this did not surprise me that much, especially with the type of society we live in today. Nowadays, you see lots of TV shows or news reports about people getting plastic surgery to make themselves look younger or more beautiful. This can encourage viewers to do the same thing, or make them consider whether they too need work done. Even on social media, not every post is natural or real anymore with Photoshop. In order to get others to pay attention, or to simply receive more likes and comments, people edit their pictures. The technology that we have today both amazes and scares me as it keeps improving.
